Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Wednesday 1/3/24 - We dropped anchor near the port of Cabo San Lucas and took a tender into the very busy harbor. Boats big and small where going every which way in the harbor, I wondered how many boating accidents there are! We took our tour bus for an hour ride north of Cabo, about a 45 minute ride, once we were out of the city, to a small town called Todos Santos. Todos Santos is the home of the famous Hotel California, from the Eagles song. It was nice visiting a small town that had great character, with its art gallaries’ and shops. We then headed back down south and visited a camel farm, where we could have our pictures taken with one of the camels. Some tours actually took rides on the beach on the camels. We were then treated to a Mexican lunch on the beach looking out at the Pacific Ocean. We were given an opportunity to sample three different types of Tequila, before we boarded our bus again. Thankfully our guide gave us lots of information on the area on the way to Todos Santos. On returning to Cabo we walked around the city before we headed to the dock for the tender boat. As we waited for the tender, we heard and then saw sea lions swimming and jumping onto the dock. The weather could not have been better this day, sunshine and around 73 degrees.
