Sea Days - Cochin to Mauritius

March 25 - 29, 2024 - Our first stretch of sea days on the revised itinerary - and they went by pretty quickly. We did a lot of the typical things we have been doing all along on sea days, with a couple of new additions - walking, swimming, reading, playing cards, wine tasting, chair yoga, meditation, lectures and a couple of movies/shows on our cabin TV. The biggest difference was how EMPTY the ship felt. During this stretch crew members outnumber the guests — as about 140 of our fellow guests left the ship in Cochin for a 5 day overland trip to the Taj Mahal. We had originally put our name on the waiting list to join this trip when the revised itinerary was announced last month, but we quickly took our name off the list when we realized the logistics - flights and trains, multiple hotels, long bus rides, crowds, etc. So we took advantage of the quieter ship, and truly above and beyond service, to relax and enjoy the time at sea as we headed towards Africa — another new adventure for us.
