Latest Itinerary Changes

February 6, 2024 - Today was supposed to be the first of 4 days at sea, including a day tomorrow sailing through the scenic Milford and Doubtful Sounds of the South Island of New Zealand enroute to Hobart Australia. Unfortunately we were notified today that we cannot do the required “face to face” entry inspection by Australia customs in Hobart as planned due to a strike, and therefore we must proceed directly to Sydney and do the the entry process there (on Friday Feb 9th), and then we will continue to our other Australia ports of Phillips Island (11th), Geelong (12th) and Eden (14th), before returning again to Sydney on the 15th and 16th. It is disappointing to miss Hobart Australia, but even more disappointing to miss sailing Milford and Doubtful Sounds which we understood provided spectacular views of the South Island of New Zealand. Again, we are fully expecting bigger changes when they officially announce that we can’t safely go through the Suez Canal, We thought we would hear the official plan for Suez Canal changes around March 1st, but the latest speculation is we will hear by mid February, so the current captain can share that news with us before he disembarks in Sydney, so the new captain who will take us to London doesn’t have to start his trip having to share this disappointing news. We will keep you informed as we continue to Austalia, Indonesia,Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India. —wherever we go after that.
